PhotoFuel's core technology involves special materials that modify sunlight in order to boost the productivity of all sunlight-dependant industrial processes: photosynthesis in microalgae cultivation or protected agriculture as well as photovoltaics, for clean and renewable electricity production.
PhotoFuel's photonic technologies target critical steps in established and emerging green processes, making them subtantially more efficient. They are broadly compatible and synergic with other approaches such as improved photosynthetic organisms obtained by metabolic engineering or more efficient solar cells.
As pictured below, PhotoFuel technologies address the needs of a diversity of growing end-markets of prime economical and ecological importance.
Harnessing the demonstrated expertise of its team and partners, PhotoFuel is also currently pursuing other approaches, at a late R&D stage, including: nanotechnology, biotechnology and engineering physics.
PhotoFuel's inventions are protected by patent applications filed under the PCT and national patent offices.
